Standing Rock Historic Site
Called Inyan Bosendata by the Sioux Indians for whom it is sacred, Standing Rock is located two miles east of Little Yellowstone Park. The rock, four feet tall and shaped like an inverted cone, stands on a complex of prehistoric burial mounds dating from the Woodland Period. Source: North Dakota State Historic Sites
